Rather than using one 100 lb. hook, he finally wired the mirror through the D rings and hung the wire on three 100 lb. hooks so the weight would be more evenly distributed. By the way, we were concerned about the sheetrock being unable to support the weight of the mirror, so he first placed a 1 x 6 board behind the mirror before applying the hooks.
