Two things decide whether a dining table earns its place: how it looks on day one, and how it holds up on day one thousand. This one is built from two materials that do both. The top is a single slab of sintered stone — the same material as high-end kitchen counters — with warm faux-marble veining, so red wine, lemon juice and a hot casserole dish wipe clean instead of leaving a mark. The base is two panels of gold-finished stainless steel set in from the edges, which leaves the ends of the table open: every chair slides fully underneath, and you can seat four comfortably or six with a chair at each end. At 55 x 31.5 inches it still leaves a walkway in a small dining room. Rated to 300 lb, standard 29.5 in. height, rounded polished corners, one-step assembly. Chairs are sold separately.
