So when I ordered this I thought it could be used vertical, which as shown in the picture can, but isn’t ideal. Unfortunately, we only have room in our youngest’s room to put it like vertical so we are making it work. I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper.
