It’s not high end wood and uses laminated pieces to look “thick” but it works and has a very simplistic rustic look and feel. Because it’s pine (or similar) it’s light but sturdy. Very nice! Very easy to assemble and came with all the parts. Took my handyman about 40 minutes to put together. Mostly because one of the end pieces came the screw holes stripped (see pics with red circles) which he was able to partly repair with plastic wood filling. That’s the reason for the 3 Star review. Problem now is those shelves on that side are not equal or flush but I’ll work around it. It would have cost too much to return for a replacement. Otherwise it’s a lovely piece and has tons of storage. It replaced the smaller brown shelves with baskets you’ll see in the photos. You’ll see If you use it for media, it does have holes behind the shelves on both sides for cords. The doors close flush and are easy to open and close. Little warning, this piece is heavy!
