Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. I really like the Murphy bed it was delivered on time and was in almost perfect condition. The item had one minor scratch, and it was easy to paint over. The bed was not easy to assemble, but I had help. It looks nice and is easy to lift updown.
