The steel in this frame is a high strength, high carbon, hot-rolled steel. It is rolled using 97% recycled material producing a very strong and environmentally-friendly product. This metal platform bed is very pretty. My granddaughter loves it. She calls it her big girl bed. The instructions where very easy to read everything was marked. Took us about 45 minutes to put together. The bed is very sturdy. I slept in it with her. We both slept very well.
