This is a beautiful pattern and the colors are absolutely wonderful but the texture is not smooth or silky. It was very easy to put up in crib and the material does have some padding to it so it's not just a thin piece of mesh material going up on the crib sides. My child also likes the flower design to look at when going to sleep and I don't have to worry about a leg or hand getting caught in the crib rungs nor losing pacifier during the night when moving around by morning..
