This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it.. This is a very cute dress up closet! We love the fact that the doors close, so it makes the room look more neat. The storage on the sides is great, but I wish that it came with matching baskets or cubbies because they are a strange size to find that fits. Really solid with good craftsmanship and finish. Shelves on both side are removeable if you want a larger section. Drawers have a smooth action and seem like they are durable. Also comes with hardware to secure it to a wall to avoid tipping, although it feels very stable so it seems like it'd take a lot to make it fall. There was some assembly required, unlike what the description said. Nothing too intense, the knobs for the drawers and cabinets and the legs had to be screwed on. Took less than an hour, and a lot of that was just removing the packaging. This thing is really heavy though so to get the legs on, you'll need 2 people to tip it. The Armoire adopts a contrasting color scheme. Its main body is a sophisticated black, while the upper halves of the doors feature a natural wood grain finish, complemented by long gold handles. This combination creates a retro yet refined look that harmonizes with various home décor styles.

Overall this is a great piece. Instructions are good, build time is not bad at all and only takes one person for 98% of it. Well packaged. Once built, it's quite sturdy. The wood tone is sharp, great contrast to the black. The gold handles miss the mark. The gold is incredibly bright and brassy yellow, dated. If they had gone with a softer tone of gold this piece would've been better. But it's an easy fix. The doors aren't the easiest to open and close, they feel a little cheap, and a few pieces of the hardware came broken (cheap quality). We didn't install the clothing bar, we have other plans for use of this piece. Overall a it's a pretty good value and a piece I'd recommend for a cheap yet functional and fairly stylish option..
