The door itself is great. Very sleek looking. The glass is heavy and feels very sturdy, although I need to find a rubber/silicone pad or something to prevent the hinges from hitting the tile wall. My only gripe is the installation instructions are horrible. Instead of 1-2 hours install, it took 2 days due to not being able to see/understand the diagrams clearly so things would have to be undone and redone, and having to go buy screws bc the ones supplied were not long enough to go through tile, mortar, backerboard, and into the studs.. I love this shower niche! We are building an apartment above our garage and I'm trying to match the style of our house. Our bathrooms have black and white subway tile with mosaic floors. We did niches in the showers using tile and they look good, but it was difficult and I notice the imperfections all the time. This seems like the solution to all my shower niche problems! I love that the shelves are tall enough to accommodate my giant shampoo bottles. The great thing about this niche is you could use it horizontally or vertically. I'm thinking of getting a second one to place horizontally above my sink/vanity for skincare items, etc. I think this is going to look fabulous when installed. It's a very solid, sleek piece and I LOVE that the shelves are angled just the slightest bit to allow water to run off rather than accumulate. I hope to update this review after it is installed, but for now I'm including some photos of the item itself, next to the tile floor and a "mock-up" of the the bathroom that our guy did just to show placement, etc. You have to use your imagination a bit to get the full effect, but if you're looking for a shower niche with plenty of room and a great design, this is a really solid choice..
