Unfortunately, when I received it, I found that it was actually a more traditional stainless steel finish. That said, the refrigerator was the right size for the space, which was ultimately the most important consideration. While the finish was not quite what I expected, the stainless steel still worked with the room and allowed me to make good use of the limited space I had available. I would recommend paying close attention to the finish when ordering, especially if you’re trying to coordinate it with a specific color palette. Got this GE fridge to replace an old GE Profile that finally died. Loved that fridge! This is level down, due to not wanting to spend so much money. It was delivered today, so not sure about the actual function. Few things though that your engineers or designers should think about. My husband is very handy and decided to hookup the water line himself. Problem is the piece that you have to insert the copper water line to is very short, and initially leaked. Also, on door with water/ice, the shelf maybe should have a well built there to catch dripping water or any excess ice. Just 2 initial thoughts so far. I'm hoping to love this one as much as I did my old one... we'll have to see. Quick update: yes, you need to add a well or lip to ice/water fixture. I went to try out the ice 2 days later, it grinned for at least a minute before actually dispensing ice, then it shot out like a bat.
