That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. The outer edge is three-beaded. It has a medium brown mahogany color with a hand rubbed and polished semigloss sheen. The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Lift and unfold the extension piece to create the additional length. Why not pair these with any of our matching wooden cross back chairs for a sleek look? Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this.
