Just got this today, and set it up for my sister-in-law at her assisted living studio. We wanted her to be able to elevate her legs in a recliner and to be able to sleep there as well because of her leg swelling and mobility issues. This is a real quality item. Heavy, sturdy, and full-featured, with customizable heat and massage, easy to access and operate wired controls (two sets, one for the chair’s back, legs, full recline, lift and one for heat and massage). Both are really easy to use. The materials in the chair are quality with faux leather that is attractive and comfortable. The chair’s support and cushioning are superb. Assembly was easier than I expected, but still took some time. I did the assembly all by myself, but had help with getting the boxes into her studio. They are heavy (which is a good thing when it comes to furniture like this). Assembly took about an hour with a very clear and substantial instruction booklet (large pages and print which is nice for my sister-in-law to have as a reference). There are two plug-ins, so keep that in mind. Everything tested out perfectly, and my sister-in-law was able to operate it right away. The lift feature will seriously get you out of the chair in an almost upright position! Really well-designed. There are a lot of lay-flat lift recliners on the market, and I feel doing the extra research helped me avoid some poor options. This one is a keeper! Opened only an hour ago but so far happy (other then the cons listed below) that I went with this chair. Pros It is sturdy, the chair seems to have been made with high quality materials and it’s incredibly comfortable! I have already made up my mind to bring it inside when not in use because it will work as an extra comfortable place to sit. My sons on the bigger side and has back issues- this will be heavenly to him! The base is thick and sturdy. The cording used also seems like nice quality. Cons The cushion (which I paid a higher price for) is not high quality at all. It is poorly made, stitching visible- I’m sure it won’t last especially if washed. The other Con (also what I paid a higher price for was the side table- honestly this doesn’t even sit level and is completely pointless. I did a lot of research when I was looking to replace our 18 year old electric recliner. I am beyond happy with this recliner I decided to purchase! I got it in 2 days in 3 manageable boxes via Fed Ex! My husband was able to easily assemble it in less than 30 minutes! The color (beige) and the material (faux leather that is soft and better than leather) is beautiful! It truly brightens up our family room next to a dark brown couch! I was so excited to try it! First off, it is extremely comfortable! They even gave you a wonderful lumbar pillow but I didn't need it! It's a nice accent when you're not in the chair! :) The massage features are outstanding! You have 4 positions and 3 modes with 3 speeds! It is not very loud- which is what I was concerned about with our 16 year old miniature poodle! She didn't even hear it! You can set a timer for it which is fabulous! Second, the heating feature in the lumbar area is excellent! Third, the cup holders are great as I can now have my drink on my chair instead of on the floor! Fourth, the USB outlets on the side of the chair are a fantastic addition to this extraordinary chair! Lastly, there are 2 pockets in the front of the chair and 2 on the sides of the chair! Perfect for your phone, glasses, a book... They truly thought of everything when they made this chair!!! (If I find issues with it, I will come back and adjust the review. ++ The chair is very sturdy -- the square legs give the chair much better support that then typical round cylinder legs of other chairs. ++ This chair lays back farther than other zero gravity chairs I've had. Very comfortable. ++ The price of this chair (I got it on sale) was better than other chairs with lesser quality frames. My zero gravity chairs in the past have typically lasted only two years. While the mesh and attachment of the seat to the frame is pretty much the same as other chairs, this one does have double-straps which should last a bit longer. Wow, this recliner is amazing! The zero-gravity is my favorite feature. You can feel its quality top grain leather, and the perforated center area is great if you are hot natured. Overall, the shipment box of the chair itself is heavy, so I opened the box and took out the backrest first before bringing it into the house. There are two color coordinated cords from the backrest that connect to the two cords on the base of the chair. The power adapter plugs into the upper right back side. The cords placement is well designed so they wouldnt get accidentally pinched while operating the chair. There is storage under each armrest. The two metal cup holders do lift up and can be removed for cleaning. Once I set the chair up and moved it into the zero gravity, I literally took a nap, that shows the comfort I felt as I typically have lower back pain all the way down to my sacrum. Im 5 foot 3 inches, and when seated, before reclining, my heels are 2 inches from the ground. My mom had hip replacement surgery, so I would always offer her this chair so that her hips are above knee level. I cant recommend this recliner enough. I have had these chairs before. This is the top of the line. The chair is usually nylon. This one has a plush soft cushion from head to toe. The chair itself is nice and the cushion is nice but the heated controls are a little delicate and they are put to the back of the armrest where you can’t see them.
