These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair. These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable. However, I also have very active household & more interruptions than I can begin to understand. My stools are sturdy, attractive, functional & I believe quite durable. Absolutely a 10!
