This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I got the curry velvet color. It looks quite different than the color in the picture but I was expecting that from other photos. More deep orangey red brown than tan. But I actually think it's so beautiful! Took me and my boyfriend about 45 minutes to set it up, it was fairly easy. The bottom cushion is firm and the back cushions are nice and soft. I got it for my therapist office and I think that is a perfect combination for clients sitting on it regularly. There are no side cushions, so you’ll need to get some pillows if you want to lounge. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture.
