Spent the afternoon putting the arch together yesterday. Very ornate and sturdy. I dont think it would stand up to wind and whatnot without being anchored with that being said Im going to Anchor it to our metal pipe fence gate. It takes two people to put it together and Im thinking it takes a third person to stand it all up. But I cant wait till the Roses Grow large enough to cover the trellis!. David. US. Thu Sep 03 2026

This arbor is perfect. All the holes and notches were in the right places for assembly, the whole thing is square, sturdy, and level, the cedar is beautiful, the instructions were clear. I could not be happier. It took about 4 hours to assemble for two people, including digging the post holes and filling with quickset concrete. You will definitely need a second person and a ladder; it's lightweight, but too large to maneuver on your own. We used bricks to prop it up while we did the concrete and then tied a rope over the top for a few hours to counteract any wind. Worked like a charm.. Kristin. Phoenixville, PA. Thu Oct 15 2026

It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. Otherwise a good buy.. Andrew. Bedford, TX. Wed Aug 05 2026

You will enjoy the classic appeal of this in your yard or garden for many years to come!

Overall it seems well made and easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The one question about when the arbor could be painted was answered by the company very promptly. The only negative was that two of the 4" lag screws used to attach the top of the arbor to the sides sheared in half while being "manually" screwed in with a hex screw driver. Had to get replacement bolts to finish putting it together. Strongly suggest you get some extra hardware and return to the store if not needed. Very happy so far ( 2days) with the final product.. This has to be one of my favorite décor purchases of all time. I cannot overstate the degree to which this has elevated the back yard. It was relatively easy to assemble. The packaging and quality of the cedar is very good. Like Teal, of Pomona, NY stated in their review: it’s a box of wood and bag of hardware and some very simplistic instructions. As a prolific builder and DIYfer I used my experience in assembling the arch. Fortunately, I have a pneumatic brad nailer with galvanized brads which made short time in nailing the many pieces together. I did not follow the slat spacing suggestions from the directions, rather having read the reviews, I made my own jig spacers after careful measurements. Pros: Good quality cedar; Looks excellent when completed; Assembly is straight forward once you figure out the spacing; Left unfinished the cedar will gracefully weather Cons: Directions need embellishment; Not for those wanting a quick assembly; Took over 6 hours to complete; Nails provided are not galvanized and should be of an outside product; Only 2 decorative wooden “arrows”---should be 4 for two on each side; Added longer and beefier exterior screws at the top/side joints for more strength. Holly. Sedona, AZ. Mon Apr 21 2025

Easy to assemble and install and comes with a 1-year warranty. Tools Required: Cordless Drill, Level, Stool/short Ladder, Shovel, Cement for permanent in-ground installation Approx. Time Commitment: 1 person, 2-3 hours.

The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. I love the assembly service that Wayfair provided. The handyman was great. He was on timely, proficient and sensitive to my needs.. Judy. Maryland. Sun Aug 09 2026
