Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut and copper foil is wrapped around each individual piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit.

Like primitive folk art, this beautiful pendant is majestic in its simplicity. Created from Dusky Mauve, Olive, and Honey art glass, and accented with clear glass jewels, the shade is suspended from hardware hand finished in a warm Mahogany Bronze.

The light fixtures were beautiful but the code and order were for Brown and gold what was recieved was shades of blue. The unpacking, repacking, notifying of the problem, setting up return with label removal and affixing new printed labels was time consuming but not difficult. Very nice pendant light for the money. I liked the rope chain idea because existing ceiling outlet was not centered where I need my small kitchen table, luckily I have exposed beams so screwed a hook in and it's perfect now. The issue with this light is the rope chain unfortunately. As a guy with many different pliers, I found it very difficult to open and close the chain links to finish it off at the ceiling. You have to be very careful with it to not scratch off the antiqued look from the chain. Ideally they would have included a threaded link instead of bending open and closed. Still a nice light..
