This is a nice lamp. It appears high quality. Its very big. The base is about 10 inches wide at its thickest. The candle in the photo is 8 ounces and the tumbler is 16 ounces. The measurements are correct. I probably would have been happy with something a little bit smaller but Ill get used to it. I think this is a really nice medium to large size bedside lamp. It is very well made and the shade is very well constructed and does very well to diffuse the light. I had more trouble finding the right warm light bulb to use for a three-way switch then I did picking up the lamp. It has so many colors I think it can go well in many different rooms.
