Overall a very nice item. They are lighter weight than I expected, but Im not putting too much stress on them with the sheer curtains and lightweight valence, so that shouldnt be an issue. I really like the mounts which allow sliding them over the screws before final tightening. The finish is a bit cheap looking to me however I dont have a lot of experience with gold finishes (prior rods Ive used have been brushed nickel), so maybe thats just me. Just slide the inner rod or disassemble the rod section as needed. Before purchasing, please measure the entire window frame (not just the glass). The length of the curtain rod should be 4 to 12 inches longer than the size of the window frame. This extra length (referred to as the "overlapping part") enables the curtains to be neatly stacked on both sides when opened. For a 36-inch window, please choose a curtain rod that is 40 to 48 inches long.
