I've been looking for a simple, open chair for a long time on my sites. This one went on sale so I thought I would try it. The wood is matte finish and a good tone so that was a plus. The color is very neutral. Not white. Not beige. Oatmeal would be closest. Very well constructed with good instructions and hardware. Be aware that it is very firm and will not hit everyone the same in the back. Not a chair to sit in for a long time with a book or lengthy conversation. This is a great solid chair and it’s very comfortable to sit in. Putting the legs on was fairly simple but the second set of screws go right into the fabric so it can make them jump a little and then they’re crooked. So be careful at that point.
