I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. The cabinet is well made and sturdy. My husband put it together within an hour or so. It looks nice and is the exact size I needed in my kitchen to fit my Gourmia oven. The drawer is not very tall but I guess if it were taller, you'd have less room underneath. But a cabinet maybe an inch taller so the drawer could be taller would have been preferred. I absolutely love this desk! It is even more beautiful in person than I expected. The quality is excellent — very sturdy, well-built, and clearly designed to last. The drawers are spacious and glide smoothly, giving me plenty of room to organize everything without clutter. I initially planned to purchase a cabinet for all the extra supplies and paperwork I had but everything bits so nicely in this desk and on the shelves enabling me to keep everything close and eliminating the need for an additional cabinet. It honestly feels like a high-end piece of furniture. Now that I see the craftsmanship and quality, I completely understand why it was on backorder. This desk is really beautiful and incredibly easy to assemble. It does require 2 people though bc the tabletop is solid wood. Very heavy. I also didn’t realize that the one end of the table does not attach the the lower part. It just rests on top it basically uses its own weight and it stays put. The only issue I had is shipping. Wayfair said it would deliver in 2 days. I then get an email saying the dimensions are too big for FedEx so it had to ship freight and it took 2 weeks instead of the 2 days like their website said. I had to wait two months for this desk to be delivered. When it was delivered, it was delivered in three giant boxes encased in wooden pallets and as an extra treat, they sent it without the instruction manual. While my home installation guy was on the phone trying to get the manual emailed to him (which turned out to take two additional days), we discovered that the drawers are simple wooden boxes without any tracks or racks to support them when they open. So, they fall out when you open them. I have never returned a piece of furniture before. It was a lot of trouble to package it back up, but the drawers were a deal breaker. This is NOT an executive desk. I never thought I needed to confirm that drawers come with a track on them so they stay up when you open them or to confirm it would come with instructions.
