So soft!! The colors are darker than shown but it is still beautiful. The gray is a beige gray not a true gray. There’s a dark almost midnight blue and a wedgewood blue and white also. I bought this 3' x 5' rug pad to try to get my area rug to stop inching it's way across my hall carpet. I received it in the time specified and it was as described on the web site. When I opened it there was no odor coming from the pad. I didn't have to cut it which was nice. After vacuuming both carpets I placed the pad between the carpet and the area rug. I had to look up how to put the pad - felt side down toward the carpet and rubber side against the area rug. A quick set-up sheet would have saved me some time and effort. The pad has added some cushion which makes it nicer to walk on. As for the traveling area rug, it has slowed down and only moves a centimeter or so a day. It comes with the anti-slip mat for underneath which is great but it is exactly the size of the rug so you have to be quite perfect with your placement or else it will show. Even though the colors of the rug are beautiful there is a lot of white and negative space which shows more dirt than I would like.
