Lots of issues during shipment. Some help from customer service, but my assembly service was canceled so I had to hire someone to assemble. Item was protected by inside wrapping. This bed is so sturdy and gorgeous. It took maybe an hour to assemble, not hard at all. The headboard is very comfortable too. Super tall people beware though.
