The only thing to watch out for and you really can't prevent is the rust that accumulates on the waterspouts. The fountain took a long time for delivery and when it came the pump was missing . Also the fountain had a lot of shading , therefore not looking like the picture above . For the price , it was rather deceiving. We received the pump later but asked to exchange the fountain . The exchange went smoothly and the new fountain looks better but still with some less apparent shading . We ordered early dec /19 and finally got the replacement fountain working end of jan..... Beautiful fountain with excellent quality! Its very heavy, but thats to be expected given the solid construction, and the weight is clearly noted in the product specifications. The touch of copper is a fun little accent, and the overall design has a charming old-world European feel—exactly what I was looking for. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons 1. Pump speed It has three speed settings, but I didnt notice any difference in the water flow between them. The three-tier waterfall is a bit louder than I expected for my small patio, so I was hoping to be able to reduce the flow. That said, the sound is still lovely, and Im very happy with it overall. 2. Setup It was covered in a black soot-like residue when I unpacked and assembled it. By the time I was finished, I looked like one of the chimney sweep backup dancers from Mary Poppins!. Susanna. High quality materials, easy to assemble, and looks fantastic. There is a long time frame for production and shipping. I had to call Wayfair a few times to get updates on the shipping and was told they would email or call me to schedule the delivery. They sent me a message with a defined delivery date and time and I did not get to coordinate the delivery as I was told. Luckily, I was able to accommodate and be at home when it was delivered. This fountain provides a lot of water flowing sound for a fountain of this size-which is great! I wanted to be able to hear the water throughout my backyard.The basepool of this fountain is oval (not round) which is hard to tell from the pictures and description. I love this Fountain however, about the plastic plug at the base of the bottom bowl tends to pop up and allow water to drain, my handyman was able to Jerry rig a system that holds the plug down so problem is solved but manufacturer should address. Absolutely beautiful. This is exactly what I was looking for to create a Grecian Roman old world ambiance against my retaining wall. The flow is steady and fast. Even when I turn it down, it is the same steadiness. The sound is comforting and relaxing. It is very heavy, so if you do not have any assistance, pay for the delivery with setup. Love this fountain. I'm writing this review after enjoying the fountain for the whole summer. Now that the fall has arrived birds are making frequent visit to bathe and the squirrels think it's there public drinking fountain. Reminiscent of European fountains in public squares, these courtyard fountains feature water streaming from tier to tier which provides a pleasant sound.

I was quite apprehensive about buying such an expensive and heavy (300 lbs) item for delivery to Canada, as oversized items can be tricky to return. This was extremely well packaged. It was delivered by moving truck on a wooden pallet (as depicted), and we ended up taking NINE BAGS of packing material to the dump. I offer the following tips for assembly 1) Its very heavy. We used three people to lift the basin onto the pedestal, and a fourth person to navigate the power cord so it wouldnt get crushed. 2) The instructions that come with it are quite basic. They tell you to make sure the rubber stopper is secured well in the basin to avoid leaks. I pushed it in by hand, which wasnt enough, as the basin wasnt holding water. I had to disassemble and carefully tap the stopper in with a rubber mallet, taking care to avoid the power cord running through the center. 3) The rubber stopper appears to be one solid piece, which was confusing at first, but it actually has a hairline split in the side which allows you to press the power cable into the middle of the rubber plug. 4) They provided a large roll of black tubing that needs to be cut. The first segment I cut was a little too long, which caused the hose to crimp and impeded water flow. I shortened it considerably, but this made connecting it a little difficult. A second person needs to support the weight while the connection is made. 5) The clear tubing for the top portion (which is smaller in circumference than the black tubing) was missing. Fortunately we had a suitable replacement on hand. There are no interlocking pieces, it is all held together by weightgravity, so it requires a solid foundation. Initially, I was a little put off by the colour of the fountain as it is much more tera cotta (orangebrown) than I thought it would be, but it looks nice now that it is all assembled and running. My aim was to replace our old acrylic fountain that had broken apart over time. Hopefully, this concrete one will last for many years!
