This works very well for the price, and the pop of cobalt blue was exactly what we were looking for. Several sets of houseguests have complimented it. When we have couples stay, we pop up the trundle and then turn the two twin mattresses lengthwise to make a king-sized bed that doesn't separate or move around. For those reading these reviews, I’m starting to question the intelligence of those that are saying it took 3 people and was a pain, etc. I put this bed together by myself and it took me about 1.5-2 hours! I think some folks just can’t follow directions or read It would have been easier with help as I had to be pretty flexible to hold the spindles while securing the pieces but I was too impatient to wait on my husband. I love how it looks and it seems sturdy! Impressed with the quality with how affordable it is! Very happy with it. Needed a trundle bed that would fit 9.5 inch mattresses. Bottom does just fine with 9.5 inch. Would probably do okay with 10 inch too. Only used the top so far but it’s comfy. If you have any creaking make sure to tighten everything up and it should be fine. They say not to tighten until end so then you need to go back and tighten to make sure there is no creaking or wiggling. Pretty easy to put together even as one person just a bit of time.
