Just beautiful! Churchill Media Cabinet is darker than pictured. It is painted with a chalk type paint, very flat, no sheen, there are 2 pieces, the hutch and bottom drawers, it is very heavy and solid, took 3 men to lift the hutch onto the bottom drawers. There are no holes for electrical/cable cords, we had to drill those ourselves. The cabinet was missing 2 shelves as well as 1 drawer with putty filler, there was a mistake when they drilled the holes for the hardware pulls. This bookcase is really lovely. I had been looking for an antique bookshelf and just was not finding anything that was in good condition and in my price range. I started looking elsewhere and when I saw this, I loved it. Sent a link to my husband, and he liked it too. Reading the reviews, a few people mentioned that the finish was not totally smooth on the shelves - that has actually played in my favor. I don't have to use bookends for the books I have put on it, so that's a big plus in my opinion. The color is lovely, and it goes well with the furniture in our space. I recently ordered the aforesaid item and am extremely frustrated with the service. Before placing the order spoke to two different representatives and on both time was informed that the item comes with white gloves that includes installation. Upon receiving the item the delivery company didnt install the item. After making multiple calls was informed that the white gloves is only for 30 minutes of installation and nothing exceeding that time!!!
