This is a nice lamp. I love the base that looks like stone. Others mentioned trouble with it being straight. I found that one section kept going together crooked but I just held it very straight and muscled it straight as I screwed it together and I got it to straighten out. It's one of those things where one person will probably get lucky and get it to go straight on the first try and another person might accidentally angle a little and miss. The base is nice and heavy, when you screw the base on, it all looks like one seamless piece. This is a matte finish, very handsome. Not a shiny polyurethane look. Nice matching finial, the shade is attractive. Again, I was pleasantly surprised with the appearance of the shade for the price point. So simple to put together and quickly done.
