Love the cabinet but the instructions had one section incorrect and I ended up hiring a guy at 65 to finish putting it together for me. So, beware when building the drawer. This bookcase is really lovely. I had been looking for an antique bookshelf and just was not finding anything that was in good condition and in my price range. I started looking elsewhere and when I saw this, I loved it. Sent a link to my husband, and he liked it too. Reading the reviews, a few people mentioned that the finish was not totally smooth on the shelves - that has actually played in my favor. I don't have to use bookends for the books I have put on it, so that's a big plus in my opinion. The color is lovely, and it goes well with the furniture in our space.
