There are stakes to hold them in the ground if you use them outside. The top layer of cloth has 2 sides.......one has gold stars and the other has silver stars.....depending on what you like. There are 8 different light modes to choose from. And I love the timer, so you can set them to come on the same time every night.......and turn off. I highly recommend this item!!
