This is so cheaply made. How is this originally $100? Even marked down this isn't worth it. It is almost entirely made of cardboard.. For $43, MARKED DOWN. That is crazy. My cats rarely even use it. When I was assembling it, one of the legs snapped in half. That is how I knew for sure the entire base was pressed cardboard. The pieces fit so tightly together, it should have been easy to put together and it was not. They did replace it no problem, but this is such a poorly constructed piece. This is a cute little scratching post, but I was expecting it to be a bit larger. It is sturdy enough that I don’t believe my cat will be able to knock it over while playing or sharpening her claws. One thing I’m not crazy about is the sisal being on the bottom of the post. It is quite thin and looks like the old school yarn they would give you in an eighth grade Home Ec class. As long as it stays attached and doesn’t fray too quickly I’m OK with it. I like the texture of the cactus, (if you will), and the fact that it’s rubbery and flexible. My cat has already owned it. She walked right up and put her scent all over it. The scratching post came quickly and was delivered at my home, not in its usual place and with a few dents in the box but overall handled professionally. I was desperate to find something after painting the door to keep it nice Very easy to peel and stick especially on a nice sunny day they’ve stayed up and no more spraying! If they do, it’ll touch the plastic and not the paint. You can see a slight shine, but it just looks like it’s wet I’m hoping they hold up through the seasons ahead I know it’s an odd review, but someone else might be looking for something.
