Absolutely beautiful, black, solid wood table! It is not engineered wood or cheap MDF. Very easy to assemble. Just add the four legs. One of the two support pieces that go on the underside of the table came unattached during shipping but it was easy to rescrew it back into place. Beautiful table and easy to put together. It took almost 2 months for delivery, but we got it during COVID. The only thing we didn’t like is that it came damaged on one of the corners. A small damage that we can repair quickly by lightly sanding and staining it so not a big deal and not worthy to send it back after all the wait. Other than that we are pretty happy with the table. WARNING: This cross-bar may need to be adjusted for full operation (best before you put the rest of the table together). I had to disconnect the top from the base 3 times to get it right. Default from the factory and the table may not close unless one holds down the side-skirting on the leaf. That sucks. Too far one direction and the table closes, but the leaf will not pivot out. Too far the other direction and the leaf pivots freely, but the table will not close without holding down the side-skirting on the leaf in it's folded position. There's a "sweet spot" such that both operations will work seamlessly. I had to relocate mine about 1/4" inch. It's best if you have a cordless drill and a partner to help.
