The acrylic surface sheet is reinforced with a proprietary resin material which is covered by a layer of Canadian wood and another layer of proprietary resin material to reinforce the base and eliminate the flexing experienced in other products. There are many inexpensive upgrades you can change in your bathroom later, but you want to put the very best shower base or tub in your bath to ensure no leaks and save the expense of having to replace the unit later. Valley Acrylic provides the very best tubs and shower bases in the market. The Signature 48" W x 48" D Neo-Angle Shower Base is used with two back corner walls with an open front for a shower door or curtain on the other two sides. Create a sophisticated bathroom space with unparalleled ease and speed. Utile by MAAX is an innovative shower walls solution, available in a range of rich colors, deep textures, and stylish patterns that look and feel like tile. Why is Utile superior to tile? Starting with purchase and installation: with tile, several other materials are required, and a professional must complete the 3-day installation. Alternatively, Utile walls do not require the purchase of other materials except silicone, and a few tools if not already in hand. They are fixed directly on the studs in 1 day and do not require hiring an expert! As for the long run, tile is a sturdy material; however, grout requires regular care and maintenance to keep its look and integrity long term. Utile walls, on the other hand, offer smooth textures or have realistic and carefree faux grout lines that will not crack!

This is a great shower. One thing - please note that the interior length is around 46.5", *not* 45.5" as shown above. After prep, the installation took just an hour or so. The individual pieces are light enough to be carried by one guy, so it was easy to unload and handle. Very much recommended.. Mdci. Maury County, TN. Thu Apr 30 2026

The online photography does not really give you the full idea that the base has a grooved texture on it, not just some bumps for traction. I needed a base in a hurry and this one fit the bill. Nice quality, just and unexpected element.. Debra. Williamsburg, US. Mon May 24 2021

[Employee of americanbathgroup] Hello, my name is Kim and I work in Product Development here at MAAX. I read your feedback on this 3 in 1 Shower kit and I want you to know that we hear your concerns. I also want to share some practical tips that can help make your installation and long-term use go a lot smoother. This is the same advice I’d give to a friend or family member putting it in their home. Here are a few tips that can make a big difference: 1. Prep & Review – This kit requires significant preparation before starting. We recommend carefully reviewing all provided instructions and materials in advance to plan your installation properly. For best results, the installer should be comfortable assembling and working with wood framing as part of the prep work. 2. Base Support – For maximum durability, ensure the shower base is installed on a level, solid surface. Applying a thin mortar bed under the base helps prevent movement and distributes weight evenly, helping to avoid squeaking over time. 3. Wall & Framing – While the panels are lightweight for easier handling, they perform best when secured to properly plumb walls with additional blocking behind drywall. This prevents flexing and ensures tight seams. You will find an Installation video specific to how to install the wall reinforcement on our website, www.maax.ca or www.maax.com . You will also find a QR Code that leads you to the video on Step 1 of the installation manual. 4. Assembly - We recommend at least two people for installing the walls onto the base. Working in pairs makes it easier to align the panels, keep them stable while fastening, maintain safe access to the backside, and move the product into position for installation. Having extra hands ensures a smoother and more efficient process. 5. Door Alignment – Carefully level the base before installing the glass door. This is very critical!!! Proper alignment prevents gaps and ensures smooth sliding action. 6. Sealing - Apply caulk to all seams and joints as shown in the guide steps related to the walls and caddy, and follow the silicone placement instructions for the door jambs, threshold and base. Remember, the inside of the door should not be sealed, so that any water can safely drain back into the shower. We’re continuously listening to your feedback, and your comments help us improve. We understand the challenges that come with a renovation, and our goal is to make your bathroom project easier and your daily routine more enjoyable.. Kim - Maax Product Team. Montreal, QC.
