The drawers are soft-close and can hold quite a bit, however the drawers are not particularly deep. The granite is beautiful and since this chest is so large there is quite a bit of granite surface area. I purchased this for my office but it would look beautiful in a bedroom as well. Matches my night stands with the chest and my bed..all from wayfair even the sofa..the chest drawers are a bit narrow in the sense that it would be nice if they were deeper. I don't think measures are correct and if they are... trust me they are not deep enough....length is good though.
