This is a great pergola for the price! It was a lot to put together. One of the pieces got dented in the set up process but it’s minor. The louvred top is easy to adjust. You will need at least 2–3 people for assembly, especially when raising and securing the frame. The parts for the frame were easy to assemble. The only step where I needed help was having three people hold the frame upright while I secured everything together. So far, it has held up great, even with the heavy winds in my area. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I didn’t run into any issues during assembly, and all the required parts were included in the boxes—nothing was missing. Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. I ordered two of these and placed them sideways so that I could have a 16 wide and 24 feet long covered area. It definitely took four people about four hours to put up the first one but second one went a lot smoother after figuring out all the louvers. I’ve had it up for about a month so far with some pretty strong winds and so far so good. We did have a decent rain and it kept everything dry when I closed the louvers but then we had a torrential rain and it was just way too much for the small areas to hold so it definitely leaked in a few spots. I purchased this to extend our usable space on our patio. It took 2 people about 5 hours in the Texas heat to put this together. We did have some experience with this type of assembly so that helped streamline things. It definitely needs to be anchored, but once it is the awning is quite stable. Some of the louvers arrived with minor factory paint scratches. I reached out to Mirador for touch-up paint, but they don’t offer any. Pretty nice and sturdy. It comes in 7 boxes + box with screens and curtains if that’s the model purchased. I wish the assembly instructions were in box one and that the instructions told you where the hardware was, The instructions and hardware are in box 5. Make sure all parts are not damaged before starting assembly especially the key structure parts. Some of my louvers were dented but the didn’t effect my assembly. They were replaced, but it took a week to get the replacements. Wayfair and manufacturer were responsive and easy to deal with but it took time to get the replacement parts.
