Absolutely Love these lamps in our bedroom. I set them up in minutes and the process was simple and quick...removing the packaging took longer than the assembly process. The night light portion is the perfect amount of light to allow for one to fall asleep until the other comes to bed. The brown/bronze finish and the linen-look shades look "rich" and classy in our craftsman-style home and mahogany suite. I have been eyeing this lamp for a while and it finally went on sale, which made me go forward to purchase. I bought 2 for each of my night stands in my bedroom. I read all the reviews and knew the pros and cons ppl were saying. My only disappointment with this lamp is that the finials are very cheap looking… not a heavy brass plated look. I decided to keep the lamps because I love everything else about them. I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look! Ive had boho lamps in the past, but nothing like these! These bases are beautiful, modern, and have a good weight to them so they just wont tip over. The detail in the shades are like a basket that was carefully weaved, and not flimsy at all. I will say that the shades do cause the lighting to be a little dim, but I have a big picture window in the room where I have them, so its usually very bright during the day. They do emit just enough light in the evening. Without turning the lamp on, the base looks antique white, as stated in the description, but with the lamp on, it looks cream.... probably due to the light bouncing off of the color of the shade. Beautiful and substantial set of lamps. Heavier than I thought they would be. And very nice! My only concern when first opening the box was that the clear part of the glass at the top did not match too well. One had a much more “caramel” color than the other.
