The sofa arrived in 2 boxes. It is shrink wrapped. So once assembled it takes 3 days to fully inflate properly. It is comfortable enough. I purchased a 3 inch topper to put on top when using it as a guest bed. I don’t think it would be comfortable enough without the topper. For the price point it’s adequate. No real complaints.. Great sectional, very comfortable. Love the slide out bed and lift storage. It came highly compressed into the boxes with the cushions being vacuumed to save space. I already own a mattress from them and have been extremely satisfied with the quality and comfort. I purposely sought out Stearns Foster to see if they even offered sleep sofas. I was pleased to see they did and also the mattress is more substantial at 8” thick versus many that are much thinner. The seating is firmer than many standard sofas, but that is to be expected when there is a mattress tucked into the sofa.
