Checking occurs as wood releases moisture across or through the annual growth rings - it does not affect the structural performance or the integrity of the wood. Varying amounts of checking may occur on any given piece of log furniture and cannot be controlled by the builder. Checking is not an indication of damaged furniture

This item was my favorite choice as I looked far and wide for something to solve my needs. But I felt it too expensive, so I continued to look at stores and shop internet. After looking at inferior products at lower price, with a long wait time, I went back to this choice. After delivery....several weeks later, I see I made the best choice----this piece of furniture is well made, good looking, and practical. could not be happier!. Michael. Sacramento, CA. This Hickory arm recline is activated by merely pushing on the arms of the reclining chair and it will simultaneously activate both the footrest and chair-back into a TV or reading position. Further pressure applied to the arms will move the chair into a fully reclined position.

This is a beautiful chair, but it is not that comfortable. My biggest complaint is that it did not come with arm rest covers. This plain color is going to get so dirty where the hands rest. $3000 and it doesn't come with any arm covers or back cover piece of fabric. I called Wayfair to try to order and pay for some extra fabric (and make them myself!) but they were no help at all. I have emailed the manufacturer but of course haven't heard anything. The other problem is the cord attaches on the very edge of the chair underneath, so there is no way to cut a little hole in the rug to hide the cord as it would then not allow any swivel. If the cord had been attached to the metal parts underneath the chair and be allowed to swivel, it would have been a lot better. So the cord is just sitting there between the sofa and the chair for everyone to trip on. This looks like about a $500 chair----definitley NOT a $3000 chair. You can see staple marks where the fabric is attached---just really isn't worth $3000! If I thought I could return it, I would.. Jennifer. Salt Lake City, UT. Fri Aug 12 2022

Great Value. The Wood quality was very good, there were no wood grain discolorations. There were some minor texture issues, but not that noticable. They seemed to be inflicted during the shipping/delivery process, but not suffient to have the unit sent back. The value vs the size and construction materials is excellent, and if you like wood with minimal MDF,this cabinet is an excellent selection.. Steven. San Clemente, CA. Sat Oct 03 2026
