This shade is the exact size of the one from my foyer chandelier that broke. So glad we could find a similar replacement! The color is not quite exact, but close enough that you'd have to look really hard to see the difference. The shade is made of thick glass and looks almost like real alabaster. Liked this so much I bought 3 (1 for each bathroom)! They look so nice and were easy to install. I ended up installing them bulb up and they look very classy and are plenty bright. Install was pretty easy except the directions weren't very clear about how to wire to the ground screw. I ended up connecting the ground wire from the unit to the bundle in the wall, and then added a pigtail from the wall bundle and connected that to the ground screw on the mounting bracket. This may have been unnecessary but both the unit and the mounting base are grounded this way.. Jessica. South Beloit, IL. Tue Sep 15 2026
