Pretty sturdy piece! I combined it with the corner shelving unit and rearranged the rods & shelves to fit my closet. It is definitely solid and I like that the pieces don't really dent or scratch. Happy with the outcome. a major improvement over old-style wire shelfs. Drywall was attached to 1 x 2 furring strips glued to concrete wall, so the 50 mm screws provided were too long to be used. The supplied toggle bolts could not be used either as there was not a sufficient gap between the drywall and the concrete. Therefore I used 10 concrete screws for hanging rail and 4 for support cleats to ensure a good solid connection to the wall. The box containing the vertical panels arrived wet on the bottom end and open - the panels all had some minor damage. Dotted Line offered to sent new panels then we settled on a credit as I had already done the installation and touch-up. The drawers do not come with installation instructions but a QR code on the template leads to the online version, and once you do the first drawer the others go quickly. You must be very strict to the template to attach the slide rail to the sides of the drawers! The drawer fronts allow for adjustment and with patience you can get the drawers visually aligned. Overall very happy with the outcome for a good price.. Alex. Palm Beach, FL. Wed Sep 23 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This closet system is excellent—very sturdy and well-designed! Assembly is definitely a two-person job; I had to call my dad for help since some of the pieces were too heavy for me to lift and install on my own. The shelving unit is incredibly versatile and can be configured in a variety of ways to suit your space, making it easy to create a custom closet setup. I highly recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ClosetMaid Impression Wood closet system was easy to assemble with minimal tools and it looks fantastic!! The instructions made sense and were easy to follow. There were 2 of us putting everything together. Our closet is a little smaller and because we have sliding closet doors, we needed to install the 2 shelves side by side with the rods on the outside. It ended up working out easily though to adapt this closet system to what made sense for our space. I really like that it comes with trim to make it look more built-in and clean. The locking mechanism for the rods is cool, they feel very strong and supported. One thing to note, the top shelves are not the same depth as the cabinets which ends up looking fine but something to know. They are about 2 inches smaller and sit a little back from the shelving unit. I also found it strange that the rods aren’t underneath the shelves, instead they are right under the trim. Somethings I wish could be improved about this closet system: I wish the brackets for the shelves were white, I wish there were white stickers to put over screw tops, and I wish there was a way to hide the wall brackets that attach the shelving units to the wall. Overall though, this shelving unit looks and feels really great!. Hayleyg66_2922. Tue Sep 02 2025

We floated the entire closet with the plan to replace the flooring down the road. Consider your shelf height to align with each other for you can screw through each vertical and shelf. We used ledger boards to brace and carry.. Allen. Johnstown, PA. Mon Sep 28 2026

I thought I could install this freestanding instead of hanging on the wall but it is not made for that. It really was not clearly stated in the description that it would be wall mount only. Be aware the whole back is open and is wobbly when not secured to the wall. However, I needed a specific width and wanted 4 drawers, so decided to keep it and modify it for my needs. I purchased feet to raise it off the floor and a thin board to line the back of the drawers. I then screwed the top shelf piece to the bottom drawers and secured the whole armoire to the wall. It worked well and is now stable.. Nicole. Fri Oct 02 2026
