Great storage system for small closets! We were originally trying to find a short dressed to fit in this shallow closet but this was a way better solution and much better use of vertical space. It was a lot sturdier and heavier than we had imagined which was a nice surprise. We had bought the add on top shelf to extend the upper shelf space but realized our closet wasn’t tall enough to accommodate it which is fine and now we have this small hidden storage spot on top. It’s nice that they offer the add ons but we will be returning the extra shelf since we can’t use it. This was also a great price on sale compared to other closet storage options.. Sydney. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This closet system is excellent—very sturdy and well-designed! Assembly is definitely a two-person job; I had to call my dad for help since some of the pieces were too heavy for me to lift and install on my own. The shelving unit is incredibly versatile and can be configured in a variety of ways to suit your space, making it easy to create a custom closet setup. I highly recommend it. A few pieces did arrive with minor chips, but once everything was installed, they were barely noticeable and didn’t impact the overall look or functionality.. Moore2rn_5775. Tue Sep 09 2025

Happy with the outcome. a major improvement over old-style wire shelfs. Drywall was attached to 1 x 2 furring strips glued to concrete wall, so the 50 mm screws provided were too long to be used. The supplied toggle bolts could not be used either as there was not a sufficient gap between the drywall and the concrete. Therefore I used 10 concrete screws for hanging rail and 4 for support cleats to ensure a good solid connection to the wall. The box containing the vertical panels arrived wet on the bottom end and open - the panels all had some minor damage. Dotted Line offered to sent new panels then we settled on a credit as I had already done the installation and touch-up. The drawers do not come with installation instructions but a QR code on the template leads to the online version, and once you do the first drawer the others go quickly. You must be very strict to the template to attach the slide rail to the sides of the drawers! The drawer fronts allow for adjustment and with patience you can get the drawers visually aligned. Overall very happy with the outcome for a good price.. Alex. Palm Beach, FL. Wed Sep 23 2026

The ClosetMaid Impressions Closet System helps increase the usable space in your reach-in or walk-closet. This kit also includes two Top Shelves to add extra storage space for folded items, accessories, storage containers and more. Impressions Closet Systems have a premium embossed white finish and include additional decorative side and top trim for a more complete, custom closet look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ClosetMaid Impression Wood closet system was easy to assemble with minimal tools and it looks fantastic!! The instructions made sense and were easy to follow. There were 2 of us putting everything together. Our closet is a little smaller and because we have sliding closet doors, we needed to install the 2 shelves side by side with the rods on the outside. It ended up working out easily though to adapt this closet system to what made sense for our space. I really like that it comes with trim to make it look more built-in and clean. The locking mechanism for the rods is cool, they feel very strong and supported. One thing to note, the top shelves are not the same depth as the cabinets which ends up looking fine but something to know. They are about 2 inches smaller and sit a little back from the shelving unit. I also found it strange that the rods aren’t underneath the shelves, instead they are right under the trim. Somethings I wish could be improved about this closet system: I wish the brackets for the shelves were white, I wish there were white stickers to put over screw tops, and I wish there was a way to hide the wall brackets that attach the shelving units to the wall. Overall though, this shelving unit looks and feels really great!. Hayleyg66_2922. Tue Sep 02 2025

Pretty sturdy piece! I combined it with the corner shelving unit and rearranged the rods & shelves to fit my closet. It is definitely solid and I like that the pieces don't really dent or scratch. Making marks on the wood pieces with pencil is the way to go, because it'll just wipe off!. Sara. Carlisle, PA. Mon May 18 2026

The ClosetMaid Impressions Adjustable Teardrop Closet Rod allows you to customize the size to fit your closet's exact shape, expanding from 30 in. to 48 in. The teardrop design of the sturdy steel rod allows for a higher load capacity than a standard round bar. It also helps hangers slide easily. Add another rod to double-hang shirts over pants or hang high for longer items like dresses.

I installed the rods at exactly 48 inches. They feel lightweight but sturdy, and the hanging brackets feel sturdy too. The instructions were a little unclear, and I wasn’t sure what the extra screws were for, but I was able to install them. If you have the space, I’d recommend choosing a larger size for more support in the middle. I don’t plan to pack mine tightly; I’ll use them for my seasonal and most-worn clothes.. Kahrla_g. Ig.
