This is newly installed so I'm hoping it's durable. It's really pretty and works well with the lights pointing upward too. We have a surface mount medicine cabinet so our only option was to mount this fixture with lights up. It looks great and our contractor had it installed in minutes. Just an FYI that we have a small bathroom and this throws off a lot of light. I'm glad we have it on a dimmer switch to dial it back when it's too much because we also have overhead recessed lights..
