It wraps all the way around the piece and down all four sides and goes underneath it, and then Velcro tight against the bottom, and it is perfect, a perfect fit, well worth the expensive price tag and this piece of furniture is MADE TO LAST, How I wish I could afford the couch, or even a chair piece to go with this ottoman, I have a hurt back and neck from being hit by a car, and it seems that only a down piece of furniture meaning the back and the seat are both filled with a down fill, that is the only fill I can sit on or lay on without getting terrible pain that radiates through my back and neck, so I am forced to seek out and find pieces of furniture that are Down FIll, the reason why they have a high price tag is due to the extreme comfort that give to the customer who sinks into the furniture without pressure being forced into there muscles, spine and neck. This piece is big enough for me to lay on, and watch tv. Without any pain. But the quality of the piece both the build of it and the fill and material are exquisite. Deducted one star because the assembly was a pain and took two adults almost 2 hours to get the rails to line up and lock in place.
