I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. This oversized chair was the perfect size for my alcove and the color is nice and neutral. The one bracket was a little bent but fixed easily with a mallet. Some of the cushions were packed inside the back part of the chair and were hard to pull out. A screw needed to be removed before pulling the cushions otherwise it wouldve torn the fabric pulling it out. I wish there was a fabric flap that could be attached to cover up the space where the cushions were packed because I imagine dirt and debris are going to get caught up inside. I am very happy with my chairs. The size and color are just as expected. I did order samples of upholstery, which I highly recommend. By doing so, as seen in the photos, I was able to match very closely with my footstools. The seaming is beautifully done. HOWEVER, the reason for my four stars, is that the seat cushion extends several inches over the edge of the chair as seen in the photo. I’m quite sure this will affect how the seat wears over time.. This chair is VERY SMALL. It states it is oversized. The chair in the picture is oversized, but that's not the reality. I'm 5'3 tall and 120 lb. I JUST fit in it, there is no way I could spread out like the model in the photo. It also doesn't have much support. I feel like I'm falling out the front of it because it feels slanted forward. The leather is very good quality. It's comfortable. I'm a little short so when I sit back my feet don't touch the floor due to the depth of the chair. I'm fine with it like that. I like using 2 throw pillows behind me. I have my sofa on risers, so I also have my wonderful new chair on risers. We only had to bolt the legs on. Each leg has 4 screws to secure them.
