This lamp provides the feeling like being wrapped up in a soft blanket on a cold day. It's comforting, cozy and warm. While i originally purchased it for the narrow & tall white metal guest room nightstand, it became lost on it (likely because of the white on white). However, placed on the wooden shelf in my office, it provided the atmosphere i was trying to create. It's super sturdy (no worry of it tipping over) and i appreciate how it looks turned on or off..
