We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. I purchased two and absolutely love them. They look just like the picture and are designed to last. I'm very experienced with attacking this type of project. Assembly is an 8 out of 10 in difficulty because of how long it takes to put it together, and I have large hands, so I was not able to fit my fingers into the smaller spaces to install the support brackets near the end. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces. This shelf is beautiful but I am very disappointed that the matching desk I ordered was canceled. Now I'm stuck with a non matching set and wayfair wouldn't give me store credit for the shelf or allow me to return the item because it was already assembled. These paired shelving units were just what my small business was looking for to store our store's product. Each unit took about 1/2 hour to assemble with two people working together. After putting the first unit together, the second happens much more quickly. The units' brown shelving match my wall shelving so that was a plus. The units are sturdy and balanced.
