The fabric alone on these covers tells a story and ultimately become a conversation piece in your chosen room. These pillow cases are made with Bogolan Mudcloth which is one of the most precious fabrics you could possibly have. The pillow covers are hand sewn by our experienced local seamstress. We source our Bogolan Mudcloth from Western Africa. The fabric is dyed and composed of a thick cotton, spun and woven 100% by hand. A pattern is dyed with fermented mud and other organic dyes. The dyeing technique is 100% organic, free from all kinds of harmful chemicals. Craftsmen draw symbols on these fabrics to tell traditional stories of the peoples of the region. Formerly used by warriors and hunters for camouflage, Bogolan fabric is used today around the world to illustrate its attachment to African culture.
