Got this for my son’s room. I put a 1.25” butcher block top on it. The desk works great and lifts and lowers smooth. I have purchased other products from this company. We love this table. It was adjustable and so cute. My husband says it was pretty straightforward to assemble. The only thing we would change is the table top. We'd like it to be a little bit wider, maybe 26-28" (the 30-36" options we also liked would have been too big) and the etched pattern is a little too prominent (can't use it as a writing surface without something smooth underneath it). This table stand is fantastic. The workmanship is top notch and the brushed metal finish and look are exactly as shown. I appreciate the very heavy base. My only gripe is that it is actually 34 1/2 inches high, a 1/2 inch higher than stated.
