I spent a lot of time looking for a bench that would hold up to the weather (composite) and would rock. This is a glider but I really do like it better than a rocker. I’m unsatisfied with this product. After the sliding bench arrived and the first assembly guy unpacked the box we discovered a very noticeable split in the composite wood front slate. When the replacement part arrived the second assembly guy discovered two other parts were cracked or split. Consequently, I immediately recontacted Wayfair while the assembly guy was present and asked for a refund. This is an inferior product. *WARNING *Don’t purchase this product! I wasted my time. Love the swing! The color is beautiful, and the construction is solid. We found it challenging to assemble (the predrilled holes weren't drilled all the way through, there were screws passing through the pre-drilled holes, so we had to remove the screws and cut them to clear the path for the bolts! The bolts did not "slide" in the holes as described so it took a lot of work to get them in place.) Overall, it took 2 of us about 2 hours to assemble and then there was a bit of height adjustment with the chains when we hung the swing. Now it's up and perfect! Comfortable and looks great:-). LOVE this hanging porch swing by Red Barrel Studio. I got the 6 feet long in Walnut. It was so hard to choose which color since there were so many options and we don’t necessarily have a wood tone theme but Walnut is perfect. Delivery was so fast. It was packaged really well. My husband purchased a thick cedar beam and screwed it to the top ceiling of our back porch. We purchased additional hardware to extend the height (we’re short). Installation was super easy. We can tell it was built with care. Description says the weight limit is 400 pounds – that’s probably to be on the safe side but I definitely feel it can hold more. My little toddler loves this swing just as much as I do. The back seat is high which makes it so comfortable to lean back and rest. It is weather and pest resistant which is such a bonus! I have always wanted a hanging porch swing at my house and now I finally got one!
