I don't know what the installation process would be in an existing bathroom, in this install our contractor had wood behind the wall to drill into for support. These are extremely easy to keep clean. So far so good! I wanted to get all the bottles off the sides of my tub and window sill to reduce mold areas. The upstairs shower is mainly me and our three kids ages 5-13 and 3 of us are girls with all of our skin and hair stuff. I followed the directions and applied the adhesive and shelves and waited 24 hours.
