Pull out of box, take off plastic, and sit and swivel. The fabric appears to be a soft tweed with very subtle green flecks throughout. I’m tall, 5’11” to be exact and the chairs could be a little deeper but all in all they are quite comfortable and I would definitely buy again. I love this chair and it fits my needs perfectly! Assembly took me about an hour (definitely a skill issue), so just read the directions carefully. The fabric is really nice, and at 5’ tall, I fit perfectly. My only complaint is that the back doesn’t come up high enough for long-term comfort, but a pillow behind my head helps.
