I’m not a fan of MDF furniture and find most pieces are made of this material more and more. Finding this cabinet in solid wood at this price point was a winner! Ordered this in Oak along with the assembly that was completed last week. Solid wood cabinet that is beautiful and functional, and reasonably priced. Additionally, it has a manufacturer’s warranty of 5 years, which was a major consideration in selecting this piece! Love the look! I’ve had this for about a year. It is well made and very attractive. Only problem is that the two drawers are slightly uneven, so there’s an uneven space between them (pictured). When I see something described as solid wood I expect the whole thing to be solid wood. The backing is flimsy MDF as are the drawer bottoms. The drawers are extremely delicate I would not purchase this unit to store anything. Assembly took 4 hours (with screw gun) and I’ve built a lot of furniture. There was an improperly constructed hole preventing one of the fasteners working to hold the top on (ultimately not necessary for function, luckily). I love it! I think it is definitely a piece that requires two people to assemble. I did it by myself and it was quite the feat, taking 3-4 hours. I think if I had another set of hands, it would have been a much quicker process. What an awesome TV stand! Fits our 55” tv perfectly. Well-packed, all pieces and extra hardware provided. Was a breeze to put together! Took me about an hour and that was leisurely assembling with cats (helping). It is very heavy and sturdy. Be careful not to over-tighten the legs because it starts to deform the brace pieces. I love this TV stand and it is just the right color for my dark floors. It does need assembly. It comes with a lot of pieces and takes several hours to assemble. I paid for the professional assembly service and it was worth it. Highly recommended! I love this thing! It looks like the real deal- mid mod piece from back in the day. The quality is great! You can slide the doors either to the middle or to the outside. The center compartment has two shelves for media items and the outside compartments are larger. It’s definitely low to the ground so keep this in mind for styling.
